The Bonacci Method℠ of Regenerative Alignment in Scottsdale, AZ

The Bonacci Method℠ of Regenerative Alignment, also known as RegenAlign℠, is a gentle, non-cracking manual therapy technique developed at Arizona Pain & Posture, LLC in Scottsdale, AZ. It is designed to find the true source of pain and realign the muscles, fascia, joints, nerves, and discs so the body can heal. The method is especially effective for chronic, complicated pain that has not responded to other treatments.
How the Method Was Developed
“At Arizona Pain & Posture, I often solve conditions that have troubled the patient for years,” says Dr. Bonacci. His approach has a troubleshooting aspect, combining orthopedic tests and hard science with clinical intuition to get past failed treatments, false negatives, and non-responsive cases.
The technique was born in moments when nothing else was working. Early in his career, Dr. Bonacci tried everything he had been taught on difficult cases without getting a good response, which he defines as noticeably decreasing pain or increasing motion. So he began carefully testing new ideas drawn from his education in physical medicine modalities and therapeutic procedures (PMMTP). He saw that the body is not straightforward and that every body and every injury is different, so each person needs a unique approach.
What Happens During a Bonacci Method Session
Over the years, Dr. Bonacci learned how to find the real source of pain and gently maneuver muscles and soft tissue so the body can heal and regain strength. Sessions use:
- Manual therapy repositioning strokes
- Gentle holds
- Compartment decompressions
- Realignment of the spatial orientation of muscles, joints, nerves, discs, and fascia
Sometimes a very small change makes a very big difference, and several small changes can resolve a problem completely. Every visit includes a full spine alignment for nerves, muscles, and joints, and session length depends on the severity of your condition.
Every Visit Should Have a Positive Outcome
Dr. Bonacci’s personal rule is that every visit should end with a positive outcome. He is persistent and trusts that one of his moves, holds, or combinations of techniques will release the strain on the nerve or joint. When it does, the patient feels better immediately. Each new case helps refine the method, so it continues to evolve.
The Body Is Designed to Heal
“We are not meant to live in pain. Our bodies are made to heal,” Dr. Bonacci explains. Given the right environment, the body can regenerate in remarkable ways. The Bonacci Method provides that environment by removing blockages in muscles, soft tissue, and joints so nerves can function properly and the body can move freely again. Movement is life. Movement is healing.
To stay pain-free, the body must be strong enough to hold proper posture during daily activities, and weakness is a common reason pain returns. That is why every patient commits to at-home corrective exercises tailored to their condition.
Part of a Complete Care Plan
The Bonacci Method is the first step of our Three-Step Chronic Pain Program and is often combined with physical therapy with the Feldenkrais Method® and RegenAlign℠ therapeutic massage. It is used for auto injuries, global neural tension, and many other conditions. Want to learn more? Attend a Friday presentation or read our case studies.
