General FAQs

What makes Arizona Pain & Posture different from a typical chiropractic office?

Arizona Pain & Posture focuses on chronic, complex, and hard-to-solve pain. Dr. Marc Bonacci developed the Bonacci Method℠ of Regenerative Alignment to find the true source of pain and gently align the muscles, fascia, joints, and nerves together. Care is combined with physical therapy using the Feldenkrais Method®, medical massage, and corrective exercises, so patients get a complete plan instead of the same adjustment every week.

Do I need a referral to be seen at your Scottsdale office?

No referral is needed to schedule a visit. Many of our patients are referred by local medical doctors, but you are welcome to call (480) 585-0252 or request an appointment online on your own.

Is the Bonacci Method℠ a cracking or popping adjustment?

No. The Bonacci Method℠ uses gentle, non-cracking manual alignment, including repositioning strokes, holds, and compartment decompressions. Traditional chiropractic adjustments are also available for patients who prefer them.

What conditions do you treat?

We treat back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, TMJ pain, sciatica and nerve pain, auto and personal injuries, work-related injuries, posture and ergonomic problems, and chronic pain that has not responded to other care. Visit our Conditions We Treat page to learn more.

How many visits will I need?

Every case is different, but many patients feel relief within the first one or two visits. After roughly 2 to 8 visits, treatment usually decreases in frequency as your body heals and you learn how to manage your condition at home. We are not a once-a-week-for-life practice.

What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first visit includes a detailed exam to find the root cause of your pain, treatment, corrective exercises, and home-care advice when appropriate. You will leave with a clear understanding of your condition and the role you play in your recovery.

Do you accept insurance?

Physical therapy is covered by most major medical insurance plans, including Medicare, and we accept Blue Cross, Aetna, and Humana. Chiropractic and manual therapy are cash-based services, and we can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance. Call us and we will verify your benefits.

Do you treat auto accident and work injuries?

Yes. We treat auto accident, personal injury, and verified work-related injury cases, and we accept medical liens for these cases. Early treatment after an accident can help prevent long-term pain.

What payment options are available?

We offer a variety of cash plans and accept all major credit cards, including CareCredit. Discounted treatment packages are available after your first visits once a customized care plan has been created.

What is the Feldenkrais Method®?

The Feldenkrais Method® uses gentle touch and mindful movement to help your nervous system learn to move with less pain and restriction. At our office it is provided as physical therapy by a licensed physical therapist who is also a Guild-Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner.

Do you offer physical therapy?

Yes. We offer gentle physical therapy with the Feldenkrais Method® for chronic pain, movement problems, balance concerns, and recovery after injury. Physical therapy can be billed to insurance or paid in cash.

Do you offer massage therapy?

Yes. Our medical massage and RegenAlign℠ therapeutic massage sessions release tight muscles and connective tissue and are often combined with chiropractic and physical therapy for faster, longer-lasting results.

Can you help with chronic pain other providers could not fix?

Helping difficult cases is our specialty. Dr. Bonacci regularly works with patients who have tried medication, injections, or other therapies without success, including patients with surgical hardware, arthritis, osteoporosis, or pinched nerves.

Do you offer nutritional or lifestyle coaching?

Yes. Diet, inflammation, sleep, and daily habits all affect healing. New patients can receive a free 30-minute nutritional coaching session, and we provide lifestyle advice as part of your care plan.

Will I be given exercises to do at home?

Yes. Corrective exercises and home-care instructions are a key part of every care plan. They help your body hold its alignment between visits and reduce your reliance on outside care.

Do you offer telemedicine or home-care visits?

Yes. For patients who are in too much pain to travel, Dr. Bonacci offers telemedicine and home-care visits to assess the situation and provide stretches, exercises, and clear next steps.

Can you help with posture and workplace ergonomics?

Yes. We assess posture and offer corporate ergonomics guidance to reduce strain from desk work, driving, and repetitive tasks. Small changes to your workspace can make a big difference in neck and back pain.
